The Queen Ada Hotel, a ten-minute drive
from the shops and nightlife of Bodrum
town, sits beneath a hill at the far end
of the bay of Torba. Her nearest
neighbour is a lofty, peaceful ruin, an
ancient temple converted into a
monastery by the Byzantines. Together
they look out over the sea, delighting
in the light, consistent breeze that
picks up every afternoon and makes the
bay a haven for sailing boats. The water
is warm enough for swimming from spring
until November, and guests are cared for
on the beach, by the pool or on the
private jetty by attentive waiters based
in the garden bar. |
